Amazing place, incredible service and wonderful staff. Not a typical hotel stay. It’s remote and on its own incredible property which makes it special. The staff is always available for your needs, the rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and food was delicious. Extremely satisfied with my stay.
Outstanding staff. Gave us great local recommendations and very attentive. Bungalows are clean, but simple. The property is outside the main tourist spots, but the beaches close by are even better.
Luis and Veronica share their love of this area and make great recommendations where to eat. I was here for the sea turtles and they recommended an exceptional guide who was knowledgeable about the beach, the ocean and he knows his sea turtles!!!

The roads getting to the property — and the Nosara area — were incredibly bumpy and rough. Once we arrived it was totally worth it. The staff was very friendly, they helped us with our Spanish, made it easy to schedule rides to town and activities offered. The restsurant was beautiful and the food was fresh and they had light healthy options. There is only 1 restaurant on site, so going into town for some meals was nice (La Luna has the best sunsets ever) The onsite pool were perfect—the views...

The hotel is easy walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. The ease for making arrangements - transportation to other area attractions as well as other locations in Costa Rica - plus COVID testing on site, and thoughtful room design made this a pleasant place to stay. I learned a lot at the lessons I took at the hotel’s surf club.
We travel to Nosara once or twice each year. We usually rent homes but really loved our stay at Esh. The staff is wonderful and always ready to help with anything you need at any time. I can't speak highly enough about the staff at Esh! Beautiful property.
El Colibri is an excellent choice for a week long stay in Playa Carrillo. Our kids loved the pool and were very comfortable roaming about the property and surrounding area. The property is split between 2 buildings - a beachside building and another about 2 blocks away. That is why you see pool views and beach views in the listing. We stayed in the inland building with the pool and could not have enjoyed it more. Room was clean and the bed comfortable. The Sunset Shack is the perfect place to stay for a surf trip in Nosara! It is quiet and chill compared to other places in the area, and it's a short walk down to the beach. Our room was very comfortable and a perfect size for our family. The staff is so friendly and attentive, and the food at Al Chile is fresh, delicious and nourishing. And reasonably priced. Its very nice siting on the veranda watching the birds singing in the mango trees and the rain in the afternoon .The short walk to the beach is very stress free you will meet the locals And see a lot more than you expect .you will love the soda close by (Francisco ) very good food and nice family that is Carrillo .we had a good time .
