Cocomar is a wonderful retreat along a quiet beach, away from the hustle and bustle of nearby beach towns. My girlfriend and I thought the resort was incredible and one of the more tranquil beach locations we have ever stayed. There can't be more than a 35-40 person capacity with 2 rooms per beach house. Guests spoke a few different languages and primarily kept to themselves (great if you are looking to decompress). Hotel Delfin was located within yards of the beach. The grounds were clean and the ammenities were sufficient for a few day stay. The staff were so friendly and had lots of tips for navidating the area. Eduardo & David were the best! The food (octopus & shrimp dishes) were among the best we sampled in Costa Rica. Playa Bejuco is a hidden gem with soft sandy beaches that are wide and very little travelled. We will be back again! Pura Vida.

My husband and I can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel, the restaurant, and the entire staff. The building structure is designed with lovely wood and steel. AMAZING! This hotel is beautiful... I felt like I was in the Garden of Eden. I loved everything about it. The food, the pool, the pristine rooms with an incredible bathroom and shower. If you are looking for a place to relax and forget the world, this is it.

Such a magical environment, all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Allen’s passion for the forest and animals is contagious and encyclopaedic ; we learned so much. What a find. Wife and I were looking for our place to “crash” the day after Christmas while en route from La Fortuna to Manuel Antonio Beach. Everything was booked as you might imagine during tourist high-season, but this property had the always-alluring “last room left” tag beckoning us to click. I gave this 5 stars because I have no doubt this was the best property in the area. The views are incredible and you are looking at the ocean while you are in the jungle. Great place for relax and detox time. Eco-friendly lodge with awesome gardens, trails and a waterfall. Bungalows have a great view to the mountains. Excellent and healthy food. Road requieres a 4WD, but it is NOT dangerous, just bumpy.

Our Room was more like a suite with kitchenette, small sitting area and huge shower. Breakfast was amazing... Better than in the "fancy" =expensive hotel we moved to. Good location between towns of quepos and Manuel Antonio !!! Would definitley go back.
