This is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed! It is quiet and relaxed. The island is small so this is the only resort on it. You can walk around the island in 20 minutes. I loved how quiet this place was, and I didn’t see any kids there. In spite of its small size they had five restaurants serving different types of food. Some of the reef is damaged, but we still saw plenty of fish of varying sizes and colors! I would go back in a flash!
We researched extensively. Several spreadsheets and reviews of multiple sites. Our experience was the best. Not sure which adjective would summarize our experience the best. But the best. This is a great property. Period. It is an island-hotel with 70 rooms only.
When I think about all-inclusives, I generally categorize them in 3 big groups:
1. Party all day. Adults only, fun and drinks happening all day long. Plenty of eating options.
2. Family oriented. Games, a lot of kids around. Many pools, eating options.
3. Quiet. Can be family or adults, but it means relaxing at the beach, food served at fixed ours, nobody really partying, most guests in bed well before...
That was a fantastic vacation. This resort is amazing and the food is excellent. I do recommend booking all inclusive to enjoy the best restaurants and bars at max.
We have just returned from a wonderful five night stay at Constance Moofushi, Maldives. We had a short but excellent stay at Westsands. The staff were friendly and always accommodating not only with us but other guests. Musab, the hotel manager was in contact with us before out trip and answered all my questions about activities, currency, etc. The room was cleaned twice a day and had all the typical conveniences. What an amazing property - the rooms were amazing the breakfasts delicious the beach superb and the service - impeccable. This is such a better option than going for the resorts it’s wonderful staying on a local island - this is my 5th trip to Maldives and I’ll only do local islands and this is definitely one of the top properties on a local island. The jet boat transfer was affordable and timed well.
Maldives is an amazing location for a vacation, period. Gangehi resort was beautiful, with friendly staff, and such a peaceful environment to enjoy the astounding beauty of the beaches and marine life. You can walk out in the calm clear waters, so far that you can don't even have to swim to stick your face into the water and see coral (with a snorkel mask). We even saw little sharks and a mantaray swimming alongside the shore (about 1 ft deep water), in addition to all the colorful fish we saw....
This is a great resort! Not only is it all inclusive, with meals and drinks, but the staff is great. The rooms are beautiful. This was my husband and I's first trip to the Maldvies and we had a great time. They included some activities as well, such as kayaking and snorkeling. I highly recommend this resort.
