I somehow thought this would be closer to the airport, but it was about a 30 minute drive. Nevertheless, Llalo was very clean, safe, professionally operated and the breakfast on the porch was ideal. The rates were appropriate for the lodging. I highly recommend it.

REVIEW - My son and I were flying out of Quito and needed a place to stay the night before our flight. Unfortunately, we got super sick from something we ate in the Galapagos the day before and could barely function when we arrived at Quito Airport...
I arrived very late. The hotel owner was there to greet me and check me in. They accommodated a later breakfast time. Was very happy and would stay again!
My colleague and I had the most wonderful experience at Swissotel, Quito! The staff were amazing, the facilities are beautiful and the location is also great. I would definitely love to visit again!

This hotel is a gem! It seems like a 5 star retreat. We checked in extremely late due to our international flight and a simple email to the hotel was responded with assurances our room would be waiting, and it was. The lobby and room was always impeccable. I cannot say enough about the staff! At one point I had difficulty with an ATM across the street and mentioned it to Martin at the front desk and this gentleman went above and beyond by contacting the bank that owned the ATM and consistently...
The hotel makes a nice stay over when transiting via Quito to the Galapagos or other destination in Ecuador. Staff and service were great, very welcoming and helpful. We ate dinner in the Botanica Restaurant and found the service and quality excellent (try the Tempura Shrimp entree). The heated book was very welcome and while we did not have time to use it, the fitness center was large with a great selection of modern equipment.
The Executive Lounge was nice with a protected outdoor sitting...
The entire hotel is fresh, new, very tastefully decorated, very roomy, quiet and comfortable. In a quiet neighborhood, but just a short walk to great restaurants and nightlife.
This was possibly the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. We were greeted warmly at check-in, the hotel manager was very helpful and courteous, the facilities were beautiful and in excellent condition, and the breakfast was exceptionally good.
We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite... 2 bathrooms, full kitchen and washer/dryer. Excellent unit. A/C worked perfectly. The dryer actually got hot and dried our clothes. The kitchen was fully stocked with a real coffeemaker (not the horrible single pod that most hotels now use). There was a full size refrig and freezer with ice trays.
