"I enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are basic but clean. The man working here is fantastic! He helped me plan my bus route to Tissa, showed me how to get to certain places in Negombo, provided me with an umbrella to shade myself ruin the intense sun while walking around, etc. it's a 2min walk to the bus station as well "

"Our trip was just one night before moving to another hotel as we messed up some of our bookings. The hotel is close to the train station and tons of restaurants around it too."

"I stayed CityRest Fort only 6 hours to take a shower and short nap for catching a mid-night flight. I booked a bed in Shared 4 Beds Dormitory. I checked in at the front desk and went into the room... I noticed there was nobody in the room! The man at the front desk was nothing to tell me but he arranged a sort of private room for me! I was able to relax and rest very well. Thank you so, so much for your angement. I'll definitely come back to CityRest Fort when I come to Colombo next time."

"My check in was terrible… the woman tried to bill me when i had already paid. Then she tried to put me in a downstairs room with no view (i paid for ocean view).. she needs to be trained on how to accept hotels bookings!! The room was surface clean but there was terrible dark stains on toilet and the the light switches were very grubby. Wifi was off the first night.. it came back the following day, but did not reach my room"

"Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und super freundliches Personal, die einem jeden Wunsch erfüllen. Man kann vor Ort auch Touren buchen (mehrtägig oder Tagestrips). Ich kann jedem, der sich in Negombo aufhält, empfehlen hier unterzukommen."

"Het hotel heeft geen lift! Er is veel achterstallig onderhoud, diverse zaken werken niet, bv. airconditioning, warmwatervoorziening, waaiers, lekkende douchecabines. De ligbedden bij het zwembad bestaan deels uit verrot hout, hetgeen gevaarlijk is. De financiële afrekening gebeurt nog op 19e eeuwse wijze (losse bonnetjes, een rekenmachientje) en de receptionisten spreken zeer slecht Engels.
Kortom: een upgrade is dringend nodig."
