If seeing the sights is on your list of things to do, head to Dragon's Teeth Viewpoint— just one of the landmarks located 11.5 mi (18.5 km) from central Aberdare National Park.
"Pool was not in service.
Wonderful wildlife experience. On site right in front our room, we have seen; monkeys, zebras, wildebeest, hyppo, birds! Rooms are quite bigs. Hot shower nice and food is a buffet (that would have been nice to have a la carte diner).
Excellent experience overall, i highly recommend. "
"The staff are amazingly helpful, polite and friendly. They made us feel incredibly welcome despite our very late arrival.
The waterhole, good and service are great and this has been our experience in Kenya so far.
Love the overnight buzzer system which alerts you based on number of buzzes as to which animals have arrived at the waterhole
The Ark needs new windows and the shower takes a while to warm up. It is cozy though with the big log fire and the thoughtful provision of hot water bottles at night.
Definitely worth staying at least one night.
Note check in times It’s important as the Ark is inside the park "
"Pros:
-excellent breakfast buffet with variety of hot items, pastries, cereal, hot beverages, yogurt, and fruit
-staff were very accommodating and friendly
-beautiful and expansive grounds
-very clean
-dinner at the restaurant was very tasty
-large room with bedside lamps and outlets for charging
Cons:
-very close to the main road so front facing rooms were loud
-every high bathroom window opened into the hallway and couldn’t be closed.
-very little sound insulation so if you are a light sleeper, make sure to bring earplugs
-area around the hotel was very bustling and not very cleanable
