"Boutique hotel with charming host. Excellent rooms and splendid breakfast. Unprepossessing entrance but once through the door the hotel is beautiful. It is located in an unfashionable but quiet area, 10-15 mins walk from the railway station. Some people may find the 15 min walk into the centre of Bordeaux slightly uncomfortable but we did not find it so. "

"Hotel has been recently renovated and "smells new". Room was really nice, hard bed, good selection of pillows, silent, toilette very well planned meaning it was really practica. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was good, but not an experience. Location is prefect at the small street near old town."

"Outstanding location near brasseries, streetcars, and shops yet on a quiet street. Staff were friendly and helpful, making outstanding recommendations for food and entertainment. Very nice rooms with rain shower and mini kitchen. Nespresso machine started each morning well. Our six nights at Hotel Cardinal exceeded our expectations. We will return! "

"Very good choice for a stay in Bordeaux. It's in a great area, walkable to most sights and the train station. The hotel is very modern and has an adequate kitchenette for breakfast and lunches. Close to lots of restaurants and a good-sized grocery. Also within walking distance of the Marche Royal - St Michel and the Marche des Capucine for wonderful fresh foods. The bakeries are too tempting for words. "

"This is a delightful hotel in a great position - close to the action, but just far enough away to be quiet. And handy to the bus stop for the station. The reception was efficient, professional and welcoming and the room super-stylish. The bathroom has a light-up mirror, which you don't see every day. Loved that. Thoroughly recommend"

"On a passé un bon séjour dans ce love loft en amoureux. Le forme du lit (rond) perturbe un peu parce que plus petit que d'habitude mais ça a été. La télé ne marchait pas. Pas un souci pour moi mais monsieur aurait voulu la regarder. Petit déjeuner OK mais pancakes et madeleines en sachets c'est un peu dommage pour un tel endroit. Pour finir, le jacuzzi était vraiment très agréable. Donc merci. "
