"A clean, comfortable room and great, easy-going staff. I arrived very late after a long day getting lost walking the wall (after the kitchen closed and was shut) and the bartender was kind enough to put together a meal for me - very much appreciated when arriving in the dark partially covered in mud The beer they brew on site was also excellent."

"The location of the Hotel is excellent if you are visiting Beamish Museum. The interior of the hotel was very good, the rooms were clean & well presented, as was the bathroom nice white towels, plenty of hot water. What lets it down is the appearance outside the grass was very overgrown & we couldn’t open the window in our room(13) which made it very stuffy, apparently a previous guest had damaged the window lock, but I think it should have been put right straight away Parking was great and the...
