Used this hotel multiple times and never disappoints . Good breakfast and easy access to the centre. No decaf coffee option in the machines.

As always the Captains Club hotel was excellent!

Clean room, but funky shower wouldn't stay where pointed! Friendly, helpful staff. Nice breakfast buffet. Comfortable restaurant/lounge area.

Great location and historic building. We loved our stay.

These owners were very considerate of guests. The hotel building is older but our room was freshly painted and the bathroom was newly remodeled. I'm not sure why they named it the spa hotel. We didn't see anything relating to a spa there. Maybe it's a historic spa town?

Beautiful hotel/pub with a great location near the beach. The room was comfortable with all amenities and some lovely personal touches (the toiletries were excellent and the homemade chocolate treats were, well, a treat!) The food in the pub was also great. Will stay again!

We were looking for a place to stay overnight after attending a friend's wedding in the area. The staff at The Fisherman's Haunt were very accommodating and allowed us to check in early so we could be on time for the wedding and have our room key for when we returned much later in the evening. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom was very nice and the shower ran hot and with good water pressure. Really good spot to stay and to visit the city. Really close to the beach.

The staff was really helpful. We needed to check-in late at the last minute and they were very helpful and patient with us. The facilities are very nice.

Very nicely decorated hotel. Completely modernized. Excellent location for walking to beach and attractions (5mins) and town centre (10mins). Staff very friendly and helpful

The room was recently renovated and spacious. The hotel is only a few minutes walk to the east cliff zig zag trail. They let us extend our stay ( late check out) for £10/hr for a max of two hours. We were disappointed that the spa was booked up the entire time we were there. Staff were friendly and the air conditioning was much appreciated.

Loved this hotel. The location was great. The price was good. The staff was friendly. And it was clean, they took care of us. I would 100% stay here again. I would say there should be some upgrades made to the tv to be bigger, a more comfortable mattress, and if there was a way to make the floors less squeaky that’d be great. But overall it was a great stay.
