Beautiful historic hotel sensibly and chicly updated. Staff very attentive. Our suite was quite comfortable..terrific bed and lovely bath including charming decor and sitting area. The gardens are amazing and you can walk down to the river Tamar from the hotel. Breakfasts amazing, dinner good. Small niggle; pillows are all the same. I like a softer version fwiw. Hope to come back again; really a stunning spot.

On the day of my arrival my husband and I were greeted by the owner Bradley. Bradley assisted us with our luggage and personally escorted us to our room.
