What can I say? This hotel was absolutely amazing, from the top-notch hotel service at the front desk to the property cleanliness; it outshined every hotel I’ve ever been to in my life. The town of Menaggio is very walkable and can be seen in half a day, so if you want to fill up your itinerary, you can take a ferry to Bellagio, or Varenna. We enjoyed the Bologna house. It was high up on the hill and could only get there by taxi or bus. Very seldom were we able to find an available taxi and the bus just drove past where we stayed. When we called the property manager and said we were having trouble getting rides, he hung up on us. Property was nice but not a place I would return to.
We loved our stay. It was a convenient location. It was very beneficial to be close to ferry, train and town. We had the luxury of a beautiful view and balcony. the place was very clean and the size was perfect. Would definitely recommend it. The only suggestions we have are: answer phone calls or voice mail, explain how to get off train and walk to residence (we had luggage and had to walk down and then up stairs), have at least 3 rolls of toilet paper, especially if we're paying to stay...

The property, rooms and staff were all amazing. The family that owns the hotel are very hospitable and welcoming. We had a lovely evening chatting with them about a local festival l. It was very memorable.
However, if you did not rent a car buyer beware that it is a long and steep climb/walk to the hotel from any bus stops or ferries. And Ubers/taxis are hard to come by. Other than that the walk itself is beautiful just a little bit difficult.

This has been characterized as a highway hotel and it may so but it's definitely much more than that. Rooms are ample and very comfortable, and clean. Hotel staff is always ready to help. We booked a balcony room overlooking the Lake and WOW! We had the most romantic and unforgettable stay. The staff is so kind and generous, we will definitely stay again next time we’re in the Como area.
Short stroll down the ramp from the main buses and trains. Host brought us to door just down the block and showed us to our little apartment. Kitchen was fully equipped; even a dishwasher. Beautiful corner room with nice view down the alleys. Around the bend from our doorway was a cement patio with flowers to relax. The breakfast was great.
