Apparently most of the camps in Wadi Rum do this is to stop guests trying to drive themselves to the real site and getting stuck in the sand! "Really good stay. Our host was excellent - very knowledgeable with excellent English. The rooms were basic but comfortable - excellent value for money. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and plentiful. Toilet and shower facilities also good."

Mohammad, the person running the camp was a nice man and we had a pleasant conversation along with a Polish family. "It was our first time in Wadi Rum and we were a bit nervous about going into the middle of the desert with a stranger. However, Atallah immediately put us at ease and we had some tea and spoke with him. Then we took a jeep into the middle of the desert. I have never been surrounded by such silence, such stillness, and such beauty. It was really magical and I definitely recommend this experience to anyone."

"Atallah didn't know or forgot he had a reservation. A few different guides and accommodations' people called Atallah for me (closed/no answer) or commented that Atallah didn't have any reservations. Seems like they all know each other; and 'Atallah" is a common name. But, it came down to me leaving Wadi Rum for Aqaba instead."
