"Two different taxis could not find the property. The credit card machine didn’t work. The beds were extremely firm and the sheets were a bit scratchy. Some of the Mae staff watched my daughter and I lug our luggage inside without offering to help carry it. (Younger staff were more helpful later.)"

"Maroqanda is a cozy hotel located very close to the Registan Square. The rooms are nice, clean and warm; breakfast is good and the staff is excellent. We had an early checkout, they made sure we get a packed breakfast and the registration card done, well in time. Excellent hotel for anyone travelling to Samarkand. "
