"We had a really lovely stay. The food was very nice. There is so much to do at the Woolpack. They have lots of games such as darts and pool. It is incredibly homely. We visited in the winter and we were made very welcome. "

"Nice place to stay. Coffee shop not far away and walkable - very nice. Need a car as narrow lanes to get to and no footpaths. Service at breakfast on the 1st morning was slow but that was due to the young girl serving. Not there when we arrived and waited 10 minutes before she appeared. Left dirty dishes on tables when she could have easily removed when bringing other dishes etc...She was friendly enough. 2nd morning, totally different service. Lady on duty was attentive...

"Excellent hotel, nothing to complain about. Stayed here to go to scafell pike which was around 25 minutes drive away. Also a beach around 10 minutes drive away. Hotel has a large car park, great outdoor space to sit as well. Only down side was we went to pool room and it was locked, got the staff to open it and got change for the table from the bar. Just as we were going to start playing noticed one cue was broken in half and the other the tip was missing. Dart board not in the best condition....

"Perfect for a last minute overnight stay in the lakes. Picked as it was the ideal location to the walk we planned. Room was small, but was perfect for what we needed. Very clean, all the required facilities, and the staff were amazing. Breakfast was also delicious. "

"Great hotel if cycling C2C, as they serve breakfast from 4am. Cycles allowed in rooms too. Very clean, although my bathroom was very small and fitted with a movement light, which meant it going dark whilst in the shower"

"We have been staying in hotels around Derwentwater for in excess of 20 years. The Glaramara experience tops the lot! We will not be looking for an alternative hotel in future. The accommodation was spacious and well laid out. Much thought has gone into furnishing and decoration of the hotel interior. Everywhere was bright and spotlessly clean. But above all was the standard of service and friendliness of the staff. A fabulous hotel."
