"2nd visit, better than first. Main restaurant Pic is rapidly becoming my most favorite restaurant in the world! The creativity is out of this world without being gimmicky… the bistro was also fantastic. Meeting Chef Pic was a highlight. Staff is absolutely top notch.

"My stay at La Saudade was a very pleasant experience. The hosts are kind and interesting people, you are steps from the very charming town of St. Peray (which has infinitely more going for it than the other ‘wine towns’ in the area). Enjoyed a lovely dinner at La Ruche, and was told that the nearby Auberge is also a fun family destination. La Saudade is the embodiment of a lovely chambre d’hotes - clean, unpretentious, interesting old home, and is also personal and memorable! Recommend!"

"Wonderful welcome and absolute gorgeous house and room. The rooms have been beautifully designed and renovated. Our host were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was scrumptious. "Very comfortable stay. Very pleased to see the kettle; tea bags weren't replenished every day, but were available downstairs. Good shower and hairdryer. The town centre is within walking distance and also convenient for train and bus stations. Staff are very helpful."

"Clean room, friendly staff and literally right off the highway. We thought it might be noisy but it was very quiet and peaceful and read later the rooms were soundproofed. You got to love the French they think of everything. The beds were comfy but the room is pretty spare. Overall, a great experience and would definitely recommend."

"We stop here quite often as it’s a great place to stay. easy access off the motorway and easy parking. The breakfast here is always excellent with a wide choice. Just a footnote about the bedding- perhaps don’t tuck-in the duvet as when it’s moved it pulls out the bottom sheet and mattress protector = messy bed. "
