Hotel Naoz
10/10 Excellent
"Clean, modern and very spacious. Staff were very kind and helpful. The kitchen noise drifted up to my room above but was all quiet between 10pm and 6am. "
"We had an amazing stay at The Falls Resort in Manuel Antonio .The premises were extremely clean, beautiful, and surrounded by a very natural atmosphere that made the experience feel peaceful and relaxing. Housekeeping was perfect and kept everything spotless throughout our stay.
The food was also a highlight—breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all incredibly delicious with great variety and quality. The location was ideal as well, close to nearby beaches and convenient for getting around.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Costa Rica!"
"Our five-night stay at Shana was an absolute disaster, and I would never return under any circumstances. After staying at a wonderful hotel in La Fortuna, we ended up here.
The level of filth at this hotel is shocking. The restaurant is downright disgusting and has dirty bathrooms, a grimy, dingy kitchen, and bugs crawling over roughly 25% of the tables. We tried eating there three times (against our better judgment), and twice had to get up and move because of the infestation. To make matters worse, I got food poisoning from the restaurant, which left me violently ill all night and ruined an entire day of my vacation. After talking with other guests, it became clear this wasn’t an isolated incident, another woman also got food poisoning, and one couple flat out warned us to avoid eating there altogether.
The room wasn’t any better. Bugs were constantly getting in, and it took days to figure out why. We eventually discovered about a one inch gap between the wall and the air conditioning unit, which led to a massive hole in the wall, something that never should have been overlooked. On our final night, we found a cockroach crawling on the wall which I had to kill (I have pictures). Completely revolting.
This place is dirty, poorly maintained, and clearly doesn’t care about basic hygiene or guest safety. I booked this stay based on recommendations through Expedia, and after this experience, I feel completely misled and no longer trust their recommendations going forward."
"Great staff! Rodrigo at breakfast daily was friendly and quick. Wood fired pizza at the pool for lunch was delicious. And was great to be so close to the manual Antonio park and easy walk to the public beach.
Rest of staff was super friendly and helpful. "
"I stayed here for 3 nights and the cleanliness was unacceptable. When we arrived, there was hair around and under the sink, dirt near the fridge, and the room clearly wasn’t properly cleaned. The bathroom was completely neglected there were even dead bugs that were still there after housekeeping came. The bed looked made, but the fitted sheet had not been changed. We had to ask them to replace it, and it took time. Communication was also difficult due to the language barrier.
Basic hygiene standards were not met. Although the reception and kitchen staff were nice, it doesn’t make up for the poor cleaning.I would not stay here again."
"This hotel is an absolute dream! The rooms are beautifully appointed, comfortable and private. The pools are gorgeous, especially the saltwater infinity pool where you can relax and watch the most magnificent sunsets over the Pacific Ocean. Food is excellent, and drink selections at all the bars are fantastic, made with natural fruit and premium spirits. Don’t forget to check out the small private beach, where you’ll find white-faced capuchin monkeys swinging from the trees. A stay at Makanda will make Manuel Antonio even more magical!"
