The location near the sea & pier was excellent. The staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. Felt like family. Bathroom is a bit small, but that's to be expected so not an issue. Breakfast buffet was great, one of the best at any small hotel we've stayed.

The couple that runs the Lawn Guest House have thoight of everything...from tea, coffee, and hot chocolate in the room to an excellent guide book written with their guests in mind. Restaurants, pubs, and shopping are an easy 3 to 10 minute walk.
We had a late arrival and they went out of their way to accommodate us.

Other reviews had some negative remarks about it being noisy, old and such, therefore I had some reservations prior to our arrival, however, I was pleasantly surprised. The establishment is an older building and with this comes thin walls, outdated fixtures and other bits but overall it was a comfortable stay. The building had a wonderful charm and had a pub on one side that became lively in the evening and yes, cause some noise but being from the city, nothing that would cause me not to be able...

The Beach Hotel didn't look like much at first. We were expecting a very basic hotel. But, we were floored when we opened the door to our room to discover one of the nicest hotel rooms we've ever had. The decor was comfortable and modern and there was a terrific view of Regency Square and the sea (and the Pier in the distance) out our large window.
