Learn more about Johnson Creek
Between Milwaukee and Madison, this small village punches above its weight with unexpected attractions. The Gobbler Theater offers live performances in a building that locals will happily describe as 'uniquely Wisconsin.' Johnson Creek Premium Outlets draw bargain hunters from across the state. After shopping, follow the Rock River Trail for serene water views or venture to Aztalan State Park to explore mysterious ancient mounds. The downtown area serves up small-town charm with family-owned eateries where waitresses might remember your order from last year. During summer, Lake Ripley Park Beach provides a perfect cooling spot, while the Glacial Drumlin State Trail beckons cyclists and hikers through quintessential Midwestern landscapes that change dramatically with each season.

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Milwaukee Delafield
"Very quiet room even though our room was next to the elevator."
Fairview Inn & Suites Whitewater
"Friendly welcome to a nice place to stay."
Comfort Suites Cottage Grove – Madison
"Super clean hotel, the staff was kind and helpful even though I checked in by midnight."
AmericInn by Wyndham Fort Atkinson
"I almost always travel with my dog and I have booked this location 4 times since November, ‘25 because it is pet-friendly. The staff has always been courteous and receptive, the amenities are good and the complementary breakfast is plentiful and sufficient. Oh…the pool and hot tub are good as well."
Days Inn by Wyndham Johnson Creek
"There was no housekeeping in the three nights I was there. Not the end of the world, but clean towels and sufficient supply of toilet paper would have been nice. There was plenty of parking, the room smelled smokey (I think because it was the end room so open windows let in all the smoke from people right outside the entrance), but the room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was okay but not great. There were premade egg options you could microwave, a waffle iron with mix to make waffles, yogurt, and toast. There was nothing to drink other than 4 oz bottles of water, and no fruit. Again, not the end of the world, but worth knowing when comparing options. Overall, I wouldn't not stay here, but it would not be my first choice when returning to the area."
Super 8 by Wyndham Sun Prairie/Madison E
"This isn't the fanciest hotel in the Madison area, but the beds are comfortable. The room was clean though the mattress pad was stained. It's reasonably priced. The breakfast is good and the coffee is excellent. The staff was both kind and helpful when we ran into an issue of our own making. We have stayed often as it's close to our kids home."
Comfort Suites Johnson Creek Conference Center
"This is a wonderful option for those looking for a budget friendly hotel. The pool is nice. Breakfast is good every morning. And there's a washer and dryer for guests to do their own laundry. This is a nice option over other hotels that require you to pay per article of clothing you want washed."
Quality Inn & Suites Sun Prairie Madison East
"It's outdated, but very clean and well maintained hotel. Easy check in. The room was very clean, but we could smell the cigarettes . Fortunately the night was cool and we slept with the window open.Bed was very comfortable and surrounding area very peaceful. We rested well. We didn't have breakfast in the morning, but it looked like a ty pical continental breakfast. Overall, we are very satisfied with the hotel."
Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Whitewater
"Staff was excellent and super helpful! (Shoutout to Thomas) clean room and AMAZING breakfast options. Definitely recommend"
