Over the past 5 years we have had occasion to stay at The Lodge many times and it never disappoints. In a word, the Lodge is comfortable. Everything is easy from the parking to the check in to the nice breakfast. The rooms allow for storing food you might have brought with you in a nice size fridge with a decent freezer area. This is a beautiful and friendly property. The room was comfortable, everything (TV, bathroom facilities, etc.) worked, and the entire facility was very clean. During our visit, Hurricane Helene moved across the area, and the hotel lost power. The staff did everything they could to make sure everyone was safe. as a traveler who feels one doesn't have to spend alot to get a good value if they do their homework, I found this facility to be top notch. Roomy, clean, quiet, friendly staff, and obvious that they take pride in how the place is presented. Delicious hot breakfast and 24 coffee. Have paid alot more and have gotten alot less so needless to say will be booking here in the future. BTW...pool looked inviting and a decent clean fitness room.
Fabulous hospitality - very comfortable room with all the amenities you would need - short walk to the lake and restaurants - excellent breakfast and super friendly hosts!
Top notch establishment with quality amenities. The whole place was super clean and well organized. Went on labor day weekend and boy are they kid friendly, it was nice to hear kids playing everywhere.

This hotel is amazing!!! My husband and I decided to do an impromptu anniversary getaway and were so lucky to find this hotel. It reminded us of our honeymoon in Italy. The staff goes above and beyond with anything you might need. Dinner at the 17 restaurant on property was also unforgettable and so yummy.

Great location for mountain travel and shopping in small towns. Very comfortable stay with just a few suggestions. Cushions on the metal kitchen chairs and a small fan to use on the porch to cool it off and keep bugs at bay. Would stay again.
We stayed in the Chocolate Room six months ago and checked in on Dec. 31st, New Year's Eve. We got there at around 10 at night. Many of the other guests and the staff were asleep. Just driving up to the Orchard Inn took my breath away. It's a beautiful, Victorian building in a mountain forest. When we walked inside we were immediately struck by the view across the room -- an enclosed veranda that overlooks amazing flowers and very busy birdfeeders with a stunning valley view beyond.
