"A really cool hotel in a very nice location about a 10-minute drive from downtown (or a walk you can do in 40 minutes!). The hotel was very clean and quiet, and the staff are very friendly. I stayed in the single rooms that had a shared bathroom down the hall - these ones are nice because yes, you have to walk down the hall, but each stall has a full toilet, sink and shower (complete with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel) so you still had full privacy. They provide towels and shower amenities with totes you can use to carry your shower items to the bathroom, so it does help if that's not something you're used to, and makes the experience feel more lux. I rarely if ever saw anyone else using them, and the staff made sure they were always meticulously cleaned. I was traveling for business and this was a great option! Definitely would recommend."

"I panic booked this property after mistakenly booking the wrong night at a chain hotel. I should have started here in the first place! The Back Bay location is charming and well situated; the little room had everything I needed (thank you for the Kleenex and in room coffee!); and while I feared it would be noisy it was quiet and calm. The price was 1/2 to 1/3 of other available options; I am very grateful to have discovered this charming little fine. Note: charm does mean sacrificing some modern amenities, such as abundant electrical outlets and sound proofing. I did not miss them, however. Thank you to the team for being responsive and for a great stay!"

"Excellent location, right in the heart of Copley Square. We were there to help our daughter move into her new place in Back Bay. It was an easy walk to Back Bay, and beautiful one down either Commonwealth or Newbury. The hotel is old and has a lot of character. Our King suite was very large. It was a little musty when we first arrived, but once the AC was turned down, the musty smell dissapated. The king bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The only suggestion I would have would be to add a coffee maker in the room. Currently, you have to go down to the lobby and grab a cup there. Overall, a great stay and we would stay here again."
