Learn more about Los Gatos
Victorian-era buildings house upscale boutiques and cozy cafes in downtown Los Gatos, where Silicon Valley meets small-town charm. Netflix headquarters adds tech credibility to this foothill community. Sip local vintages at Testarossa Winery, housed in a 19th-century novitiate with mountain views. Hiking trails in Castle Rock State Park reward with waterfall vistas and rock formations perfect for climbing. Vasona Lake County Park offers paddleboat rentals and picnic spots beneath towering redwoods. The town's name means 'The Cats' in Spanish, a nod to the mountain lions that once roamed freely. Come autumn, the Santa Cruz Mountains explode with color, creating a backdrop that feels impossibly scenic for a place so close to San Jose.

Half Moon Bay Lodge
8/10 Good
"We traveled and stayed overnight with my family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) and had plenty of room in the queen suite. The staff was friendly, check-in was easy, and the breakfast was good! The only two negatives were our room was a bit stuffy so sleeping was a little uncomfortable and the walls are a little thin as I could hear the person above us snoring."
Maple Tree Inn

Wild Palms, a JdV by Hyatt Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Pool was amazing and everything else was easy to find pretty good location and restaurants were nearby didn’t have to travel far"
Ocean Pacific Lodge
8/10 Good
"Clean, comfortable easy access location. 5 min walk to beach. 2 blocks. Directly Accross from Depot park where there is many soccer games. This is a great location to stay if you are doing the SC triathlons. Pool a bit cool and hot tub was comfortable but not hot. Jets in both hot tubs were not working. Pool area was clean and pool towels are provided. The in room shower was huge with two shower heads. Breakfast place across the street is yummy but cash only."
The Domain Hotel
8/10 Good
"We arrived about 3:45 PM and were able to check in within about five minutes. The check in process was a breeze, parking was onsite and free (garage underground had more space). We were upgraded from Executive Suite to the Presidential Suite on top corner so it was pretty quiet. The only “issues” we had were that bedding for the pull out sofa bed were not in the room, only two towels but we had 4 on the reservation, we did not have a drain plug for our tub, and our very old smoke detector went off 3 times. I was also disappointed that the jacuzzi is no more, for now at least. These were minor inconveniences, but pool was clean (I skimmed) and warm, breakfast was warm, punctual and varied slightly each day, and gym was clean with newer equipment. Overall great location for us, the staff let me know that dogs AND cats can stay for a fairly small fee and thry also had some decent candy, noodles and a microwave available in the lobby. Not bad, we will return with our elderly cat and enjoy this location in the future since it is close to the redwoods and coast."
Marea Sol Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Very nice hotel, super convenient for going to the boardwalk. We got a double room, very spacious, with a nice partial view of the wharf and beach. Staff was super nice. The parking area was a bit tight, but we figured it out."
La Bahia Hotel and Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Unique, the snacks in the room are “complimentary “…sure, you’re paying for them in the long run, but it’s a totally different “feel” than places that put $5.00 bottles of water in the room. Staff extremely polite, attentive and helpful. Will stay again. Longer next time."
