Learn more about Neah Bay
Venture to the northwesternmost town in the contiguous U.S., where the Makah Tribe's rich heritage comes alive at their excellent museum. The Cape Flattery Trail rewards hikers with dramatic Pacific views from the edge of America. Kayakers paddle alongside whales while exploring rugged sea caves along the spectacular coastline. Summer brings sports fishermen seeking trophy catches in these productive waters. Don't miss the museum's remarkable artifacts recovered from a village buried by a mudslide around 1750. After hiking, pitch a tent at Hobuck Beach where the rhythmic waves provide nature's soundtrack. The small community of 900 welcomes visitors while maintaining its authentic character and deep connection to both land and sea.

Van Riper's Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Overall our experience was good. Our room was upstairs and next to the road. We kept our windows open for the cool night air. There was a small fan that drowned out most of the noise. Bed was comfortable. Not too hard or soft...no hump in the middle. There were amentities such as microwave, small fridge, coffee maker, toaster, 2 burner stove with utensils, plates, and coffee cups. WiFi was fast all things considered. Water pressure in the shower was great! I'm 5'7" and the water hit me at my chest, so was fine. If you're 6'+, you'll need to duck down a little. Hand soap was provided but no shampoo. Room was clean and tidy. Could use a little facelift, but it had all the comforts needed for a good night sleep. We only stayed one night and brought some of our own food like sandwiches, chips, PB, jelly, and fruit. That worked out great as the local restaurants didn't open until 8am and we were headed out early to Cape Flattery. Best price in town! I would recommend!"
