Econo Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"The stay was pleasant. New management done us right. Highly recommend."
The Last Cowboys Court
10/10 Excellent
"Nice place to stop for a quick overnight stay passing through. Easy access, clean, no bugs in room, and property taken care of… met one of the owners morning were leaving, nice guy. Its also pet friendly, as we were traveling with a dog… Would stay again passing through the area."
Canadian Inn
10/10 Excellent
"I stayed at the Canadian Inn towards the end of a six-week-long road trip, and am glad I did. The Canadian was a welcome break from cookie-cutter hotels and motels that begin to fall apart as soon as they are completed. The Canadian was built sixty years ago, and will be around for sixty more. The couple who recently bought it are fixing it up after years of mismanagement. Stay away if scratches on furniture or rust stains under a bathtub spigot irk you. Come if you appreciate windows that open, comfortable furniture, plenty of light, and genuine friendliness. Especially if you have a dog -- the property has a big, fenced dog enclosure with a fire hydrant, toys, and a picnic table. Outside the enclosure is another picnic table, and a few minutes walk away is a restaurant that embodies its motto, "Home Cookin' Done Right.""
Oriental Hotel
8/10 Good
"Excellent location--next door to the River Valley Pioneer Museum but no sign saying to check at Econolodge, only a For Sale sign by the Oriental Hotel sign. The courtyard unit we had seemed plain but had everything that a motel should have, including a comfortable bed so we enjoyed our stay there. Breakfast of fruits, cereals, and coffee was also at the Econolodge. With this much renovation going on, we appreciated the effort of offering breakfast."
