Fishing rods dip into the Sacramento River where anglers compete for the perfect catch under California sunshine. Anderson River Park offers trails through shady trees and picnic spots where families gather on weekends. The small-town atmosphere belies a rich history preserved at the Anderson Historical Society downtown. Nearby, the Cascade Theatre's neon marquee lights up Redding evenings. Local restaurants serve hearty portions that fuel riverfront adventures. Win-River Casino's gaming floor buzzes with activity, while the Redding Civic Auditorium hosts performances drawing crowds from surrounding communities. The railroad heritage remains visible in this former depot town where trains still rumble through.

Oxford Suites Redding
"We had such a wonderful stay! Her name is Melua (I’m so sorry if I got her name wrong), and she was absolutely the best, so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. She made check-in so easy and greeted every guest with a warm smile. We arrived around 8 PM, and our room was spotless and smelled so fresh. We then enjoyed the hot tub and the hotel’s complimentary wine service, available for guests until 10 PM. It was such a lovely way to unwind after arriving. The hot breakfast the next morning was also fantastic! They had fresh bacon, potatoes, scrambled eggs, and waffles, along with oatmeal, fresh fruit, pastries, and milk. Overall, such a comfortable and welcoming experience. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back! ❤️"
My Place Hotel-Redding CA
"Can’t say enough good things about the My Place Hotel in Redding! It’s easily accessible from I-5, with lots of restaurants and eateries nearby. But what really stood out to us were the little things that make a hotel stay special. We were warmly greeted by a wonderful staff member when we checked in, there was plenty of parking for overnight guests, and our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. And, as my husband would say, it was the most comfortable bed he has ever slept in away from home! We travel along I-5 twice a year and have stayed at many different hotels along the way—some quite pricey and some more budget-friendly. Honestly, none of them compare to My Place Hotel when it comes to the quality, comfort, cleanliness, and value for the price. We’ve definitely found our go-to place to stay in Redding. We’ll be back!"

"Very pleasant staff. Late at night I was doing laundry and I didn’t have enough to start the dryer snd the receptionist found a way to exchange me the change I needed to dry my clothes"

Motel 6 Anderson, CA - Redding Airport
"This was a perfect location near gas stations, highway, fast food and groceries. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The property was quiet and perfect for a single lady traveling alone. It felt safe. No homeless or drug addicts hanging around. You will see them at the Redding city hall. There used to be a neat sculpture park there. I wouldn’t recommend visiting it now. It’s an affordable, safe and conveniently located place to stay in Anderson, CA."
