Stayed for five weeks. Staff wonderful. Loved buffet breakfast, and Executive Lounge. Beautiful lobby and entry. Everything needed in room, including fridge, microwave, dishes. Excellent wifi. Great swimming pool and exercise center. Comfortable bed. Quiet, despite proximity to airport. I miss the place already.
This is my second stay at the hotel is is conveniently located. The staff is courteous, efficient and accommodating. The room and facilities are well maintained and clean. The club level option was an very good value. I would recommend staying at this hotel.
Overall very nice stay in the Thai Akara. I was assigned a second room when I did not like the feeling to spend time in my first room and received a nice spacious one with balcony.

The hotel and room was the most amazingly “private” experience I have ever encountered. If you love a unique, non-commercial hotel, then choose 1905 Heritage Corner. I would love to have the suite in which I stayed in my house. Everything was perfect and well thought out.
We had a last minute change to our travel plans and needed a place to stay for a few days so we chose Mayu hotel. We didn’t expect much based on cost per night when it was booked online, sight unseen. When we arrived our breath was taken! It’s a beautiful modern 4 story building with a large golden sculpture out front. The lobby was immaculate and we were greeted with a Thia smile and bow. Nice location in the Nimmanhaemin area, great restaurants nearby. Need a car to get to the walled city, but very inexpensive (around 90baht or 3 USD). Great service, nice clean rooms. Pool area is lacking enough lounge chairs, but otherwise a nice area. Would benefit from food/drink service on the pool floor.
Such a beautifully designed small hotel. Picture perfect in almost every way. Only criticism is that the designer had a little too much fun planning this hotel. Perfect visually, but the rooms are not well thought out functionally. Few places to place unpacked clothing. And all the furniture has faux drawers. Would help to have made them REAL drawers. Perhaps the designer needs to stay in more hotels him/herself. Otherwise a great central place to stay in Chiang Mai.
