This was absolutely the perfect place to spend a long quiet weekend. I checked in on Friday in the early evening and immediately felt at ease in the beauty of the space and the accommodations. My sweet dog and I walked to the beach every morning and enjoyed the solitude, and I ate at Blackbird twice and enjoyed other local delights! This place is fantastic.
We were very happy with our stay. The owner is warm and welcoming and gave us plenty of information to help us find our way. Kayaks were included in our hotel cost and we made good use of them on the river right behind the hotel; couldn't be more convenient. Cute, cottage style rooms. Nice porch area…we had side by side rooms with adjoining porch. Plenty of bunnies, squirrels, and blue jays in the well kept outdoor areas. Staff was very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a beautifully remodeled oceanfront suite with a balcony. It was pricey but worth it. A bottle of wine and takeout food on the sunny balcony was perfect. And the new flooring was great. No carpet to collect sand!
We like this hotel because it’s conveniently located with a restaurant on site and a nice walk into the town.
My wife and I decided to visit cannon Beach for our 33rd wedding anniversary. We arrived to the hotel to early for check in. Although we were several hours early, the staff let us fill out the guest registration card and park our car at the hotel while we went and roamed the area.
The only thing that I can say detrimental about this hotel is that they don't have an elevator. Otherwise this hotel is a perfect getaway for a trip to Cannon Beach. The beach is just a 5 minute walk for elderly...
What a find! Mom and Pop motel on the beach! Super friendly and helpful 'Pop' who kindly shares local best tips. This is not a fancy resort - it is a nice little motel directly on the beach, that is clean and well maintained with thoughtful touches. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay and so much more because of the people who own it. Already made a reservation to come back. Thanks for a lovely long weekend!
I’ve stayed here several times. The motel is very outdated and some items appeared to be broken such as the hairdryer. I would also have liked to have a “do not disturb” sign for the door, but other than that I enjoyed my stay. I love that it’s affordable and faces the ocean within steps to the beach. I love Rockaway and will always come back. When looking up the motel, I did see they’re doing renovations. I can’t wait to come back after the renovations have been completed for an even more...
