We would stay here again. The location was great with a park across the street and nearby grocery stores. No restaurants were open nearby, despite it being Saturday night. The room was generally quiet and the sheets were super soft. The room was big and had good options to lay out our suitcases. The room also had a mini fridge, however there was no bottled water in the room. The toilet seat and toilet paper rack were both very loose, but the bathroom had a fan. The hotel is a marvel and the Manage of Operations Juan Carlos Rios is tremendous--he is everywhere--greeting you upon arrival, getting the bellman to take luggage to the room, park the car, then in the restaurant and even assisting with travel directions for your onward journey. The rooms are large and very comfortable and have wonderful fireplaces that the staff will light for you. The views are magnificent and the restaurant is excellent. Two NOTES - Uber Quito does NOT know the location of this place and will take you somewhere 40 minutes away, in Quito park instead. And... the entrance of this place is a big steel door that slides open when you get out and push the call button. REVIEW - My son and I were flying out of Quito and needed a place to stay the night before our flight. Unfortunately, we got super sick from something we ate in the Galapagos the day before and could barely function when we arrived at Quito Airport...

We had to evacuate Quito emergently during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic. Unable to get a flight that night, we purchased nights at the Hotel Alpachaca for $20 / night / room. LOVED OUR STAY HERE! Very clean, neat, & the staff was absolutely fantastic!! Food was great! Oh the saunas were so so so relaxing. The only reason I checked off the area outside of the property being unsafe is that Ecuador was under marshall law so we did not feel safe outside the hotel. BUT WE FELT TOTALLY SAFE & COMFORTABLE INSIDE!!! Did I mention how friendly the staff were!!!!! Cannot wait to came back!
