Wow, Metzy Residence is more than an Hotel. It is home. The staff is friendly. Attends to your needs all the time. Room is spacious and the decor is really nice. Room is very clean with. I went up there for a wedding. Was surprised when i came back the room was decorated with balloons and flowers and had a complimentary champagne for free at our disposal. This was for a business meeting that was held at the hotel for 2 days. Unfortunately, I didn't get to use a lot of the facilities because of the work. I am a runner, so managed to run in the mornings before work. One run I did along the beach. The beach in front of the hotel is highly eroded, so at high tide, you have to trudge through soft sand until you get a few hundred meters away, where the beach is not eroded. RoofTop is truly a gem! Before booking I had read several reviews praising this place which lead to high expectations - and I was not disappointed. From the stunning rooms to the tentative and professional staff, this is a must-stay when in Gambia. Or might I say it's worth booking a trip just to see this small and exclusive paradise. The owner Urban makes you feel like you have come home, a very serene feeling that many of us need!
