We stayed at Hotel am Steinplatz for a week. The Hotel is great, great location, Great Breakfast, restaurant and Bar. The staff are very helpful and they were always ready to help us with anything we needed. The Hotel itself has a great story and it's where most of the famous German actors were staying and had their parties. The Hotel has been renovated since then but it has kept it's old charm and it can take you easily to those glamorous days while staying there.

Very appropriate location for longer term. Does take a while to get around via U bahn because its further out. But only five minutes. Nice room size and very user friendly. A/C is excellent. Low noise but NO blackout curtains. Breakfast is less than useful. Plan to do your own. There is a supermarket 199 feet away with really good options.
Great staff, clean property. Very accommodating for late check out. Rooms are huge! VIP upgrade was phenomenal! I would definitely stay here again during my next trip in Berlin.
Everything was perfect.
There was one odd exception. We were 2 people in the room, 2 sinks in the bathroom, yet were rationed with one tube of shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion for our 3 day stay. When I left the used tube open to have them notice it is empty, they closed it and put it back for the next day. So I bought the toiletries I needed.
It was only on our last day that we were paid an evening visit by the staff to rearrange the bed, add a towel and a sweet.

AMAZING! This is a 5 star boutique hotel masquerading as a 4 star hotel. This was our first trip to Berlin from NYC for 4 days. The hotel is located in the transitional, hip gay friendly Kreuzberg neighborhood. It felt chill and relaxed away from the tourist hoards in Mitte. Room was modern and clean, would happily stay here again. But could not get heat to turn down using system dial, had to turn off system completely and open window in order to not be covered in sweat. I stayed during cold temps, 2-6 celsius. The bar/lounge on the 10th floor is nice, had a dinner and drink there one evening. Location itself is good for walking to many restaurants and a couple parks. I was here for work and it was good for my needs.
Very nicely appointed studio apartment with a lot of space. Location is central with quick access to the U and S trains at Potsdamer Platz. Excellent location for the Philharmonie and Kulturforum.
Very convenient hotel for access to main train station and for walking the major tourist sites around Berlin center. Room initially was st up for one person (comforter on Queen bed the size of twin and only 1 bath towel) - contacted the maid and she lterally ran to get us another comforter and extra towels. Nice bar area and courtyard sitting area. Breakfast was a little steep so we didn't partake but all you need is across the street at the train station... Huge mall there...
