The Home Hotel met or exceeded our expectations, and provided as pleasant a stay as we could have hoped for. The observation tower offered an excellent panorama of Bergen's port, and the included breakfast, coffee, and dinner made the stay quite a bargain for such quality lodgings. Our room was huge by European standards and very comfortably furnished. We have stayed at three other hotels in Bergen over the years, and none of the others comes close to the Home Hotel's warmth and charm.
We were welcomed by the staff who offered us refreshments while we checked in and then were walked to the lift. The room was beautiful and clean. If in this area again I will stay here again.
It’s a short walk from Bergen station but is situated in such a beautiful part of the city. While it can be hilly, I think the water views are well worth the extra steps.
Charming hotel in a lovely neighborhood near to a park and the University.
I found it convenient to many areas in town. It is about a 15 minute walk to the main center. It isclose to transportation and other interesting venues, like the concert hall. Breakfast was fresh, lovely and had plenty of choices.
I would definitely stay there again.
For some people because there is no elevator and being located on a hilly street may be a concern.
This hotel was amazing! I was traveling with my two adult children and we had the perfect room - a “family” room. I called before we arrived to see if we could get a room on the wharf side and when we hot there they had made it happen! The breakfast was delicious and had so many options. We never left hungry! It is right by the fish pier so all of the things you may want to do are within walking distance or a bus stop. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else - this place is wonderful!!!
The location is amazing, right in the heart of Bergen. A short 10 minute taxi from the port. They also have a flybus that stops in front of the hotel too. The breakfast was ready for those who wanted a grab a bite before taking off for a day of adventuring. It's a 7 minute walk from the fisherman market. A great location and overall a great hotel.

Due to flight delays we arrived at Zander K at midnight with hopes that the hotel would not be frustrated by our late arrival. To our surprise the front desk was very quick and friendly. Room was small but clean and well appointed with everything we needed. Morning breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Zander K gets top marks from us.

A single room is very simple (classic for Europe). No chair and no closet. It is what I expected. One thing could be improved. The "hot" shower was a "warm" shower.
