This is an amazing property out in the country. We loved the spacious rooms and the breakfast!!

Great personal nice rooms

I stumbled upon Sombea during a trip through Southern Germany, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. The staff is helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the restaurant is delicious. If I find that my travels take be back to the Schwarzwald, I will be staying at Sombea again.

Super friendly staff, great room.

It's a very good base for walking in the area, though the lake is not as pretty as Titisee up the road. Parking was easy, luckily, but they also give you a pass while you're there and you can take the train wherever you want. If you have a dog, the facilities are good and they were very kind. There's a nice park just up the hill, great for early morning or late night walkies. Very convenient to a grocery store, an atm, and right across the street from the tourist information center! Everything was absolutely perfect, and believe me, I’m not easy to please. All rooms have been renovated and are super nice, the TV was working perfectly and is brand new, the breakfast buffet was excellent and very economically priced. The hotel is also right in downtown, so you can walk through this wonderful old German town and also visit some of the local restaurants and supermarkets and of course, the spring of the Danube, which is right in this little town. One of my favorite hotels, rooms are rustic but fully functional, the food is superb, the views are spectacular. The staff are great.

It was magical, whimsical and wonderful every step of the way. We couldn't complain about a thing! The staff was so kind and friendly and fun. The sad thing was that we had to leave . You must stay there if your in the Black Forest:)
