We would suggest the Royal Sportsman hotel for dinning. As we have visited it before and the food and service was excellent. "

"We arrived at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon, the team were busy and to be expected. We were then attended to within a few minutes. Polite and friendly and shown to our room. It was a building near the pub. Parking was free and able to park outside the pub. Its all situated in a square,like a market square surrounded by big granite hills. "This is a gem of an inn, located just a stone’s throw from the castle walls. The woman who runs it is a delight; friendly and helpful. The room and bed were comfortable and well stocked with teas and coffees and the like. The food - both dinner and breakfast - were excellent. It’s an older building so expect occasionally creaking floors (although they are carpeted) and low ceilings, but that just adds to the charm. Highly recommended if you can spend a night in Harlech. "What a fantastic place! It is in a fairy tale setting and the grounds and town are beautiful! Regan is very knowledgeable about the area and gives great recommendations for places to visit and hike. The food is exceptional and the staff warm and friendly. This was our favorite spot on our 2 week long trip. Highly recommended! "
