Hotels in Orland Hills

"Check in was easy. Parking is quite far from the entry. Valet is advertised, but not available during the week. Room was clean. Hotel is a little outdated, but mostly in a cool 60s vibe. Pool is gorgeous, but I didn’t get in. Breakfast is outrageously priced so if you get the breakfast package use it. $62 for me and my daughter to have an egg scramble with potatoes, coffee, breakfast sandwhich, potatoes, fruit cup and an Alani. And they add a $4.25 tip that they don’t tell you. The beds and pillows are only moderately comfortable. We both slept poorly (awake a lot throughout the night). The noise level from the hallway is significant and there is a 2” gap beneath the door, which I find strange. The hotel itself is nestled in a kind of a neat outdoorsy area with a lake and a walking trail. I’m sure it looks beautiful during the summer, but during the early spring it looked quite drab. My daughter loved the place. The gathering area near the bar/restaurant was such a cute little place, we ate our takeout dessert there. She wants to come back with her siblings and I’ll definitely try the hotel again. "

"The style of the room was perfect for us since my sister likes to sleep with the TV on, and I like to sleep in dark and silence.the The 2 sections of the room was just right. We would have liked to have had some paper plates and plastic ware in the cabinet for us to microwave some of our restaurant leftovers. The cabinet door under the sink was sagging, and there was a huge hole on the bottom of the inside of that cabinet. The sink did not leak at least. There was some kind of stain on the ceiling. Because the room was what we needed, we were able to mostly ignore these things. The remote only worked on one of the televisions actually both remotes worked on one television. The other TV had no working remote. Fortunately, that was in the bedroom where I did not need a TV so we did not request requested to be changed out for another. The first night we noticed that there weren’t any sheets on the sofa bed and no blanket. My sister had gotten sheets from the desk early in the day, but no blanket. The night staff person said they didn’t have any blankets and people just sleep on the sheets, but there were no sheets on it. I bring my own extra soft blankets everywhere, so my sister used the blankets from the bed, and I used my own. The next day staff person knew where the blankets were and brought a brand new one for my sister for the sofa bed. In spite of these things, we had a nice stay. The pool was good, the courtyard is cute & nice. The housekeeper lady is friendly & helpful"

"Needs work, rundown, doorhandle falling off in room, mirror frames damaged in room, needs a facelift. Enjoyed cocktail hour, front desk associates could be nicer. Pool rundown and packed, non-friendly faces. Not good channels and limited because they don’t have streaming to sign into. Breakfast was great. Overall, I would stay again at an embassy suites l-but not this one. "
