"Had a one night stay. Staff were excellent very friendly and helpful. The roads are a bit noisy but not to bad at night. Room was clean and tidy. Ate in the restaurant service was excellent and food very nice. Bar area had a dog friendly place to eat and dogs were allowed on terrace looking over the small lake. Saw a resident heron which was a nice treat. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return"

Drunk and quite aggressive after the first night and booked this room at 2 am! When I turned up early to see if I could leave my bag the young man in the reception desk was so lovely upgraded me when he heard what had happened and I was able to check in early. We enjoyed this lovely hotel. It was close to the castle, and restaurants and shopping. The staff were warm and helpful. They were delighted to tell us the history of the building. I especially liked the lounge and the outside, roof terrace for added relaxation.
Staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was really well equipped and even though the windows were heavily frosted with no view the room was light enough. Lovely touches like robe, slippers and coffee machine.

Amazing gem hidden in the country. Very comfortable rooms, relaxing, fun atmosphere in restaurants and bar with delicious food. We weren’t traveling with children, but there were amazing play areas, indoor and outdoor for children.
