Albergó Céntrale is a jewel in Lamezia. Great breakfast and dinners. Bruno, Lucca, Tania, Teresa, Stefania and our housekeepers all worked hard to ensure we had a pleasurable stay. Lamezia is not a tourist town, so there is not much English spoken. But Bruno and his staff did their best use their English skills and our poor Italian language skills to make our stay enjoyable. The property was excellent suited for our needs because it was centrally located for our daily trips, without been downtown. The rooms were immaculate, no carpets, excellent bathroom with shower. Nice furniture and TV. But the really outstanding feature of this hotel are its employees: the reception, the restaurant, the room cleaning crew, all always looking to make our stay a very pleasant experience. Thank you all!

This hotel was the best one that we stayed at during our trip. It is gorgeous. You look out over an olive grove/farm, and lemon trees line the perimeter of the pool. They produce olive oil and limoncello. (Don't miss these for sale on a shelf in a little bookcase in the front office.) Having been there, it is difficult to think of Le Carolee as a "hotel"; it's a beautifully restored, 18th century, fortified, country estate.
