The usual things you look for, clean, safe, comfortable beds, close to beach and public transportation, great breakfast, and internet…Hotel Donna Rosa has all that. What makes this property extra special is the staff! Tatiana, Coral, Donna Rosa herself, and the hospitality staff are amazing! They make sure you know where you are going, the best ways to get there, and the best things to do! They made sure we found good restaurants, mapped out transportation for us and made sure we were well...
It’s an inviting hotel with wonderful concierge. It’s also located in a beautiful location and there are many Italian restaurants nearby that are full of locals with delicious fresh fish.
The location is absolutely beautiful. The staff are friendly and so helpful, going out of their way to accommodate. We experienced equivalent hospitality across every staff, from reception to bell boy to bar lobby (Fabio and Frederica!) to espresso maker to housekeeping and the lifeguard! So sincere, they seem to love doing what they do.
For ease of mobility, there are working elevators to pool areas and up to the 3rd floor of the hotel rooms. Reception was helpful to change our room to 3rd...
We have been traveling for more than a month, in many fantastic cities in Spain, France, and Italy. Typically at 4 and 5 star hotels. This was a gem, and the value was outstanding. The property-the building, the rooms, the gardens, the views-is spectacular. The restaurant was amazing. Chef Marco was a one man show, and his braciole was unique and innovative while still reminding me of my Sicilian-American family recipe. He also made the delicious Tiramisu at our table, with flair and charm....
An amazing facility. The staff was attentive and caring without be overbearing. The food is delicious and the location is super. Our room was of adequate size and the amenities were wonderful. They had a secure location for our bicycles which is appreciated.
Only minor glitch was that the hot tub is a bit cool for my preference. Not a big deal at all.
I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.
Recently spent 5 nights here and was not disappointed. Hotel is modern and very clean and all staff we encountered, especially Maryl and Maria-Antoinetta at the desk were very hospitable and helpful.
Location is great being right across from the beach and only a 20 minute drive to Taormina. I do recommend that you have a car though since you will have to drive to the regular tourist spots that are nearby, and there are many.
Everything we expect and more.. wonderful staff they went above and beyond to make our experience memorable..
Hotel location beautiful service top notch.
The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building with breathtaking view over Mediterranean sea and mount Etna.
High quality service.
Jianluga, bar tenders, provided very professional service to us.
We are sure we will back.
This was a beautiful
Place to stay. The staff is amazing, friendly and helpful,
The hotel is right on the beach with beautiful views. There is a very nice pool overlooking the water. They have a really nice patio at the bar that just makes you feel like you are on vacation. I highly recommend this hotel. The room is comfortable with a balcony which is nice to have a cup of coffee in the morning. The only thing I did not like is the shower. The folding door does not keep the water from reaching...
The staff was wonderful. They even met us at the square and navigated our car up into their parking area. They just went over and above doing anything they could for us! The cottage was roomy, decorated nicely and super clean. The staff brought us anything we needed and even let me know when the spa was ready after it went down for 15 minutes. The views from the cottage were superb- from the terraces all the way out to the sea, and the garden with it's citrus and vegetables draped everywhere....
Directly across from Mazzaro beach (stairway down not for elderly or disabled). Beautiful views l believe from every room...l would check. Our front desk host, Sandro, took care of us in so many ways. Easy walk to tramway that takes you to Taormina. Superb breakfast ( one day croissants a little incinerated, but it is Sicily) Lovely rooftop pool, nice landscaping and plants everywhere.plenty of places to eat , drink and buy sundries. Might be considered a little dangerous to walk near...
We had a great experience at this hotel! The hotel is a few blocks off of the main walking street, but that ensures that it is quiet at night. You can exit the hotel through their back garden and walk down some steps to easily access the main walking area. I cannot say enough about the delicious breakfast, fresh Italian cheeses, delicious fruit, yogurt, great tea selection, Italian cured meats, hard boiled eggs, it was wonderful! We originally booked a standard room, which was fine. But during...
