"Hotel is well situated near the port. It is modern and clean. The room was spacious and had a nice terrace. The staff is really polite and helpful and the e-bikes are good but somewhat a little underpowered for the steep terrain. Also there aren’t enough for all the guests so perhaps best to book in advance in another rental place. Overall a good place to stay in Naoshima but bigger towels and no charge for the extra pillows would be good."

The location was superb! up on the mountain, remote and quiet. Fantastic view of the entire city both in the morning and in the evening. Huge and clean room, staff are very nice and friendly. But it may not be convenient if you dun rent a car. Stayed two nights and enjoyed very much!
Staff was really helpful about ferry schedule to nearby Islands and bus schedule to nearby beaches. They made a lot of helpful suggestions and everything was very smooth. They were probably the most helpful hotel staff we experienced in Japan, and we enjoyed talking with them. We tried the breakfast in the cafe one day and it was good. Would absolutely stay there again.

JR Clement double had a nice king bed and a spacious room. There were too comfortable arm chairs to sit in and a desk as well we found it very convenient to get to the ferry to go to the art islands and to get from the train station to the hotel, it’s just a short walk
The floor I was on and room smelt like cigarette smoke for some reason, had to turn on the humidifier to clean the air in my room. Other than that it’s a nice setting, decent room space, and great staff
