"Not many places can accommodate 6 adults in one room/villa. This is what makes this property unique. The grounds always look amazing and the breakfast is simply the best. Check in and check out was the easiest I’ve seen at a hotel. Very central to the Hunter Valley and known to all operators in the area."

"The rooms aren't fancy, but they are clean and comfortable (cheap and cheerful), and had everything I needed, including a few cable TV channels, reliable Wi-Fi connection, and good water pressure with plenty of hot water. I loved the location near the center of town, close to grocery stores and only a short drive to many wineries and other travel destinations. Good value for money. Regards."

"We had booked 1 bedroom premium villa but we upgraded to a 2 bedroom which was a nice surprise. The apartment was very spacious with 2 bathrooms plus a guest toilet downstairs. The complex is huge but the villas are well spread out and quite private but the down side of this means you may have to drive to the restaurant complex for breakfast. Breakfast was excellent with a better selection than most hotel buffets. A good stay."

"Staff were very friendly and helpful, the restaurant was excellent for breakfast wide range with great coffee. Outlook just beautiful to sit and have a wine on the patio. The venue is close to lots of wineries so a great place to base yourself and explore the Hunter Vally "

"Abermain was a fantastic hotel. Great location to be close to the wineries in Pokolbin and Lovedale. Room was clean and it’s situated in a hotel that is 115 years old. We were worried about the shared bathroom but it was totally fine. The bar food looked great, even though we didn’t indulge after a day at the wineries. Would definitely come back to the Abermain. "
