"Absolutely stunning property and fantastic history and beautiful grounds. The only downside was the room we stayed in at the front overlooked the lake. There is no air conditioning and the room was unbearably hot. I opened the windows and then was badly bitten by mosquitoes. I appreciate the building is very old and the staff are clear about lack of air conditioning but I would not stay here again during the summer and risk a heat wave as it is simply impossible to sleep"

"We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Paris and Versailles. We booked breakfast and dinner but we didn't get a proper diner on either night. 1st night we were told that the chef is not there that we are late (9pm) even though we received a message from the hotel that they serve diner till 10pm. We got frozen pizza instead. On the 2nd night were told that the chef is on holidays till September... Frozen pizza for dinner again. We were disappointed. Hotel shouldn't offer to buy dinner option when they knew thet they is no one who could cook for guests. On the other hand the breakfast was very good. Staff was nice."

"Lovely staff at an excellent property. The cleanliness of the room and kitchen area, hotel areas and breakfast area was impeccable. The breakfast was delicious offering cereals, omlettes, sausage, self boil eggs, fruit, yoghurt, cheese, ham, nuts and various breads and pastries. Coffee was from a machine but one of the best expresso I have had."
