"Our rooms were clean everyday and the resort was just great. The resort offered great pool and hot spring option and onsite excursions. Overall it was a wonderful stay."

"The Hotel del Rio was absolutely amazing. The staff was super helpful in all regards from event planning to dining to recommendations on sights to see etc. The rooms were very clean and modern. Every morning they asked about whether we wanted service or not. The on site amenities were very diverse from sports to spas. Even our kids did not get bored. Lots of trails for walking. The rooms were very private as well, I am not sure I saw or heard another guest except for at the restaurant. Would recommend to anyone and would stay there again if in the area. One of the best places we have stayed on vacation. "

"We had a wonderful stay here with our 5 teenage/young adult children. I was skeptical that the views and the rooms were as great as the pictures, but they were even better. We had two villas near each other for 7 people and had plenty of space. The location is private, yet a short Uber drive to La Fortuna. The food at the restaurant was great, though not a huge variety. There is AC in the rooms, which wasn't obvious from the listing, but much appreciated. The staff was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and helpful. If I had any criticism, it is that there are no loungers at the pool, only chairs. And yeah, it rained pretty hard on a couple of days. Overall, it was the perfect choice of hotel for us and I highly recommend it."

"Clean room, older property, camp style grounds. Perfect place to feel like we were back in childhood. It had vibes like we were in our youth. Beautiful landscaping, walkable to town, restaurants, shopping and everything you need. Friendly staff and great breakfast included."

"The room was large and very comfortable for our group of four (two adults and two teenagers). We especially enjoyed the private thermal pool, which was an awesome addition. However, we did notice that some of the fixtures in the room are a bit dated, particularly the toilet. Updating these elements would significantly improve the overall experience. Thermal pools were nice and spacious"
