Easy to get too and access the property.
Inside was clean and cosy. Everything you needed in the bathroom. Kitchen was good, note there isn't an oven which caught us out (we didnt think to check). Enough plates/cutlery/mugs/glasses/pans.
Very nice touch with the log fire and fairy lights on the ceiling.
Sofa bed was comfy and lovely to cwtch on to watch...

"Good bed, good sized shower, good breeze through the window. The breakfast hours are too early nd too short, and you apparently have to reserve a table for dinner, but they do room service and it was quick and delicious. They desperately need WiFi extenders."

"We had a most enjoyable stay. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was delicious and the staff friendly and professional. We ate in the bar or restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the interesting menu and the quality of the food.

Shared bathroom and kitchen, which was expected based on price and photos, but not clear in details and another guest hadn’t assumed this and caused a big scene on check in. Wasn’t dirty, but could have been cleaner. Beds were comfy, but sheets smelt damp. Air con didn’t work in our room or another room that was empty. Free parking. Walking distance of the town centre which has takeaways. Kinda average stage. But cheapest around"

"This beautiful old hotel has been kept in excellent condition with tasteful modernizations. Shower was super with lovely fluffy towels! Beautiful countryside setting.

"Room was pleasant, the bed was very comfortable & with lovely soft pillows.
Towels were soft with a very pleasant smell that filled the bathroom. Only small complaints was the lack of Decaffeinated coffee & tea sachets, which you now expect in most establishments. Also the small TV was stuck in the corner of the room, but this only a minor problem.
The staff were pleasant & chatty & the breakfast was very nice.
This is a very nice guesthouse in a nice area, with several self-catering cottages...

Rooms are spacious and well equipped but the bed was a little hard for me (like most hotels). Not all rooms have baths but I was able to change at no extra cost. "

We were greeted by Beth who made us feel very welcome.= and showed us around before giving us our room key. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a restfull sleep in the comfy bed and a tasty cooked breakfast. Will recomend to our friends."
