It was a very convenient location for exploring. I was able to visit ost places on foot. The room was bery compfy and absolutely quiet, despite being on a main road. All the staff were efficient and polite. The breakfast was also very good.

This was a great place to stay and am a bit surprised it is only a 3-star rated hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They definitely went above and beyond whenever we needed anything. The Vajra hotel is located below Swayambunath in a beautiful garden that is incredibly quiet for Kathmandu. It is an amazing heritage property. The staff are so kind, helpful and excellent! This is a special place but not for guests who like a standard, corporate style hotel.
Beautiful old hotel that has been turned into a castle. The bathrooms have been updated in the rooms but they have left a lot of the original woodwork and authentic details around the hotel. They have a wonderful free breakfast buffet as well as a beautiful pool area with a pool bar!
