The cottage is very very comfortable, immaculately clean and has everything you will ever need. The showers are absolutely amazing and the beds very comfortable too. There’s loads of parking and it’s positioned only a short and very pleasant stroll from the village pub the Lion & Lamb where we had a fabulous meal in a very relaxed and pretty environment. Brilliant having free parking on site and everything was contactless. Side door to get to the room and back out.. hassle free. "

"Medi, the chef, and his wife, Daniella, run the Inn and gave us both a warm, friendly welcome. The room was tidy and clean and we both had good night's sleeps even though the room was above the pub..I recommend Medi's Eggs Benedict which was fantastic and he also catered in the evening with great home made food - I had the best fish and chips I've had for many a year..I'd recommend the Sunday roast too which was awesome and over generous...and reasonably priced...

The cottage is well equipped and dog friendly, the only downside was the adjacent Milecastle Inn isn’t doesn’t allow dogs inside. They do allow dogs in the beer garden which would be great in good weather but we visited in early March and it wasn’t sitting out weather. Haltwhistle is short drive away with dog friendly pubs, good Fish and Chips shops and supermarkets.
