Juneau is cute and offers lots of tours (whale-watching, tram, food, helicopter, glacier walks, dog-sledding, the town) and some good food (Deckhand Dave's for fish tacos!), but is also touristy & crowded. The big cruise ships stop there.

Downtown is very busy when the people come off the cruise boats but it was fun. Do the tram up the mountain. Thats the best part.

"Great proximitry to cruise ship terminal. Very clean and well maintained older hotel. Like a small apt. with a kitchen and separate BR. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very clean but furniture was old and a bit uncomfortable, window blinds need to be replaced with ones that function. Noisy, busy traffic area. Bed was acceptable, small and stiff, I would not have wanted to sleep on it more than the one night pre-cruise."
"Check in was easy. Staff was great. It felt very home like. The homemade scones were very tasty. The hot tub was very clean and my husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. If we go back to Juneau for any reason we will be booking a stay again at the Silverbow Inn. "

"Very quiet. Clean rooms but bathroom had a couple of hairs in the tub. When we stayed a few days ago that room was clean. This one also needed a rug cleaner. "
"Exceptional and surprisingly unique property.
We had a lovely suite w/ an exceptional bathroom/shower and huge TV.
Mattress was great!
Common spangles and airport shuttle were tip top."
