Luxury Hotels in Sint Maarten

"Pros 1. Staff outside of the last bartenders were great 2. Beach is beautiful 3. Room was very nice 4. Centrally located - restaurants and bars are walkable Cons 1. If you have young kids or if you’re interested in music at the pool this resort is NOT for you 2. If you don’t like bartenders yelling at your young kids because they are having fun in the shallow end of the pool this resort is NOT for you 3. The rules clearly cater towards an older demographic NOT families with young kids I get the owners are a priority but we spent money to stay there and should be able to enjoy our stay without security regulating pool toys or reggae music on your personal speaker. "

"Check in took extremely long time. We arrived there right at their check in open time, service desk person took forever (over 45min) to get our room keys, even though this was past check in time and there were no one in line in front of us. We were hungry after a long flight and had to go to eat since a person to show us where the building was not coming for over 30min. Terrible check in experience. Then even worse thing happened, we left to go to st. Bartz for a few days and came back late evening to only find out that we were locked out of our room. The keys were not working, the person at the lobby was not helpful at all, as I told him what I suspected might have happened. He didn’t listen to me, and we end up going back and forth (up and down the hill with our luggage) because this person couldn’t figure out how to get into our room, so he made up go back and forth with him to a lobby and back. After over an hour of this insanity (this was almost 10pm) we finally were able to get inside our room. And the issue was exactly what I thought it was in a 1st place. If only people who work there were trained to fix simple issues without turning our vacation in a stressful experience, or at least listened a little, we would not have faced these problems. Lastly, they provide ur tiny towel for ur face and one for your body….shower doesn’t have a door and all the water spills all over, they didn’t even bother to provide towel for the floor to make sure we don’t slip and fall from."

"Beautiful, well maintained property with great location and amenities. Staff were friendly but seemed to lack training. However, rooms have no soundproofing with screaming kids, squealing chair legs across the tile floors, people pounding on doors and karaoke/reggae music playing all day and all night with rock hard mattresses that were so uncomfortable I got very little sleep and woke up in pain everyday "

"The room was clean and nice great views. A lot of things close very early the swim up bar close at 6 the pool closes early. A lot of employees were very rude didn’t smile at all it’s very hard to tip people when you feel like your bothering people!! All the Food was very good!! This was our first all inclusive hotel we are usually cruise people so this hotel didn’t make us want to switch over. Our friends we went with said don’t go off this hotel because the other all inclusive they have been to definitely are better then this hotel!!"

"It was a quick book and check in was smoothly. The gave me fresh towels and wash rags everyday. Cleanliness of the room was 3/10 the sheets had stains on them also the curtains. The fridge was making animal like noises every 15mins. It was just a room for sleeping I couldn’t really get comfortable. The location is AMAZING!!! It’s right next to everything I walked to most of my reservations."
