Hotels with a Gym in Portugal

"I reviewed this property already, for my return flight. It was a great place to stay for arriving late or leaving super early and still being pampered for a decent room rate (it's right next door to the Melia, which is a sister property). Super helpful staff, super clean rooms, quiet, good amenities, like included buffet breakfast starting at 2am, food available for most hours you arrive. Hotpot and tea and coffee and a water bottle for free, besides minibar. Safe in room closet. Quiet despite being by airport. Later checkout than most hotels--at noon. They will hold bags for you, if you are transferring but not able to get into your next place early. I recommend doing the pre-check-in. They seem to provide an upgrade if they have it, or at least at your first stay. Fun vibe in the lobby--rock star/Hollywood. They also have vending machines in lobby in case you just want something super light. Bar seems to be open all hours. But very quiet and nice. I traveled solo, felt extremely comfortable, and staff very helpful. "

"Showers have a problem with temperature regulation. Be very careful with any small children. Can go from very hot to quite cool without any adjustment, ongoing. It was extreme in our first room assignment to the extent that it scared me. They gave us a second room assignment, but it had a stench (that I could later smell in the entry/lobby area - I believe it’s a sewer gas smell) in the bathroom area as well as a huge concrete support that took up literally half the shower area space…. So I asked for yet another room assignment. Third room smelled fine, thank goodness, and the shower water temperature problem was less extreme, but still noticeable. Still, don’t have children unsupervised in those showers. Truly. Bed was very comfortable! Great mattress. A/C worked great! Bathroom was large (tho that second, smelly one was pretty bad, tbh). They should honestly give a bargain price for that crazy half shower situation. I don’t think they can possibly clean behind that huge support pillar, which makes me wonder about the smell. Front desk people are very helpful. Location is great, and cost is very reasonable. Prices in the bar are a bit expensive, so I would go experience the city rather than spend money there. We did not try the breakfast. We would rather try small, local cafes and bistros. Rooftop amenities might be nice for summer time. We’re all about location and cost, and only two adults in the room, so this place was perfect for our minimal needs."

"Room was very hot. Had to call for maintenance to repair A/C. No ice available anywhere in hotel. Completely unacceptable. I have stayed in cheap motels all over the USA with clean very nice ice machines. Also when I turned on the water in bathroom sink, it came out a dark rust color for a few seconds. Thinking this room had not been used for a while."
